Week #2

My week has been super busy. Monday consisted of lots and lots of homework. I had papers after papers to write for English and science. I stayed at WCC until 7pm, I mean really, isn't that a bit much? Tuesday was quite a day as well. We started a new section in Biology. We are now covering Evolution and Creation. Extremely interesting lecture! I love my professor he makes taking notes actually exciting. I left and went to Ele's Place. I was asked to something amazing! I am going to be speaking at the Ele's Place Fundraiser on Nov 11th. I have to provide a three minutes speech and what Ele's place has done for me. I'm really excited to have the honor of doing this in front of over 400 people!

Wednesday was very uneventful and stupid. My English professor assigned my class to do an internet scavenger hunt. It had some of the dumbest and most random questions ever. And yes, it HAD to be printed on canary yellow paper, I mean where do you find that kind of stuff? But Thursday was amazing. I went to classes and survived a really boring day.  Then got to have dinner with Nikhila! We had the best time, I wish I could have had more time to chill. We'll have to do it again ;) Then I was told we had play rehearsal so I rushed over to the middle school and no one was there! I asked the janitor if class had been canceled, that it was. (There was a message on my phone at home that rehearsal had been canceled.) So instead I went and got Dairy Queen.

Friday was full of busy errands. I paid a huge stack of bills and sent them all out, yay!! I also finally organized my file box, now it's all clean and I can find everything! I went grocery shopping only to forget my grocery list. Oh well. I guessed on all of the stuff I needed and came home with only half of my list marked off.

Saturday was awesome! I did have to get up at an ungodly hour though, but it was worth it. I walked in the Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. It was truly moving. So many people and so much love. I filled out a little badge for my mom and dad that said "I am walking in honor of..." The scenery was beautiful, I can't wait until Relay for Life. I am planning to be on the committee this year!

Well that's another small adventure for this week!

Stand Up To Cancer

I've added it to my sidebar. Stand Up To Cancer is one of my favorite sponsors for cancer research. Just about every cent goes to find cures for cancer. It's absolutely free, and doing it your raising money! If you want to click around and help raise money you are more than welcome to do so! I am also going to post my Breast cancer awareness link up here as well. You can help my team raise money until December 1st!

Weekend Numero Uno

Saturday was a blast of fun. I drove to Howell to visit my family that came down from Arizona. There were tons of people and food! I finally got to catch up with people I haven't seen in a very, very long time. Afterward I drove straight to Katie's house and celebrated Alex's 18th Birthday. What a blast! We ate tons of pizza, grapes, and oreo pie. Yumm! It was an awesome night full of interesting conversations and way to much laughing.

Sunday I spent the day starting this blog of course. I finally decided to get out of the house and go get a few pumpkins. After running out in the freezing cold I decided why not decorate the whole yard today? So I found all of the old decor that was hiding in the back of my garage. It was so perfectly covered in cobwebs as if it had been waiting to be put out for some time. After dragging out the ghost, witch, and vampire stockings and hammering their posts into the ground I got out my big web. My mom and I were so excited when we found this big black web a few years ago. It's just black yarn but it stretches out and looks really neat! Mike finally arrived and he used his powers of being tall and helped me put up the web. Then we put momma and baby spiders out as well. It was a ton of fun decorating and my mom would be proud! I'll post pictures later this week!

The First Post

So I always wanted a blog, I just never thought I had anything to offer to the blogging world. At first I thought well maybe I can bore people to death about my life, than started to feel a little bad so I dropped that idea. Then I pondered blogging about cooking, but since I only use recipes more than make anything myself, I gave that up too. It was a never ending cycle of figuring out what was so interesting about me. Well, I finally came back to option number one; boring you all to death. I thought it would work out really well so we'll just have to find out. So to start of boring you guys I'll give you the big picture of my life as a not so average teenager.

So it basically all started about ten months ago when my mother passed away from cancer only  year after my dad passed away from the same thing. It finally dawned on me that I actually have to take care of myself, I couldn't be a baby. So I applied to a crap load of jobs and nothing came up, still nothing. I graduated from high school and celebrated being an oh so wonderful college student. That summer all my friends waved goodbye leaving me to go to MSU and U of M. I toughened up and went off on my way to community college. So I decided to major in Biology and than transfer up to MSU in another year, go Green! I am now a full-time student balancing: classes, homework, bills, animals, friends, boyfriend, family, health, my house, finding a job, shopping, traveling, and so much more.
