About Me

Who?

Me – I’m an average twenty-something going on forty. I grew up in near Ann Arbor, MI born and raised in the same house until the summer of 2011. Living the life of a young adult with a little more on the side. I’m a college student at MSU who does her bills, cleans the apartment, feeds the billion animals, fixes the on going problems in her life, has no job in the sucky economy, and just wants to have fun.

The boyfriend (Mike, @guidemike) – The love of my life. We live together in a cozy apartment with my two cats. He keeps me busy laughing and enjoying my life.

The animals – My two awesome “companions”, or the other loves in my life. My kitty Ashlynn is the newest addition to the family and possibly my new best friend. Then there’s Toby the fat white cat who makes me giggle. 

Why?

I started a blog because I needed a place to vent and share about my life  as a teenager trying to make it on her own. My parents both passed within a year of each other from cancer in early 2009. So now I juggle the life of a young college girl  and one of a forty year old adult. 

Teen Going on Forty was the first blog I ever did. It helped me vent about life, but unfortunately I let it slip. Now since I am NOT a teen any more the name doesn't really make sense. So here we are now. I new blog, a new life. 

Mike and I have been trying to get fit for a long, long time. I have always struggled with my weight mainly because I was lazy. My whole family was unhealthy, but fortunately I'm putting a stop to it. It's time to get in shape for the rest of my life! Do your best and forget the rest!
